The Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC) is central to the academic and administrative leadership of MUBAS. As the principal deputy to the Vice Chancellor, the DVC provides strategic oversight and coordination across the University to ensure that MUBAS delivers on its mission of excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and community engagement.

The DVC’s office is responsible for translating strategic vision into actionable outcomes, overseeing the effective implementation of institutional policies, programmes, and performance targets. It provides leadership for key university functions including academic affairs, research and innovation, student affairs, institutional planning, and quality assurance—ensuring that MUBAS maintains the highest academic and operational standards.


Functioning as a vital link between the University’s leadership, faculties, and administrative units, the Office promotes cohesion, accountability, and efficiency in decision-making. It fosters a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth, enabling both staff and students to thrive within a supportive and dynamic academic environment.


Beyond internal coordination, the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor plays a strategic role in advancing MUBAS’s national and global engagement. It forges partnerships with government bodies, industry players, research institutions, and international universities to promote innovation, staff development, student mobility, and knowledge exchange.
