Speaking during the event, the MUBAS’ Executive Dean from the School of Engineering Associate Professor Burnet Mkandawire, encouraged the students to join the university as it offers a wide range of programmes.
He emphasized that MUBAS is the pioneering university for all engineering, finance and business programmes in the country and as such, it has all the necessary expertise and equipment for training professionals in such specialties.
“MUBAS offers almost everything, as we have different programmes under different schools with laboratories and training centers where students are able to innovate and create different ideas and skills,’’ he said.
In her remarks, Dr Rabiya Hanif, Executive Dean of the School of Business and Economic Sciences said since its establishment in 2021, the university has introduced new programmes to widen access to higher education and contribute to national development. She also oriented the students on the specific entry requirements and career prospects for the various programmes offered at the university.
During the interaction, many students were also excited to learn that MUBAS has started offering a Bachelor of Laws degree. The fair was also attended by leaners from other secondary schools within Kasungu who were also excited to learn more about what MUBAS offers and specific requirements for enrollment into those programmes.
Some of the universities and institutions that participated during the event include University of Malawi (UNIMA), Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR), Medical council of Malawi (MCM) and the Malawi Defence Force (MDF).
