PIC: A student accessing health care service at the clinic
At the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS), students have access to a comprehensive range of sexual and reproductive health care services to ensure their well-being throughout their academic journey.

The campus is equipped with a clinic staffed by highly qualified medical professionals, providing essential health services such as HIV testing, counseling, laboratory services, medical schemes, OPD consultations, family planning, and the provision of antiretroviral drugs (ARVs), including post-exposure  prophylaxis (PEP) and re-exposure  prophylaxis (Pre-P).

The university has also collaborated with Malawi Network of AIDS Service Organisations (MANASO) under the Pamodzi project from 2022 to 2024. This initiative aims to raise awareness among students about sexual and reproductive health care services and gender-based violence. In 2022, MANASO organised various on-campus activities, including a sports bonanza and ladies conference, to increase awareness and facilitate student access to sexual and reproductive health care services.

The institution adopts an inclusive approach to managing sexually transmitted infections (STIs), offering both treatment and counselling services.

In addition, students receive mental health and emotional well-being support through individual health talks and psychosocial counselling. These sessions, conducted at the clinic and a dedicated counselling centre on campus, provide supportive space for students to address their unique challenges. One-on-one counselling is available through various channels, including email, messaging, phone calls, and face-to-face interactions, ensuring comprehensive mental health support.
