The Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) actively participates in policy dialogue and formulation at the national and global levels, with a focus on ending poverty in all its dimensions.

The University collaborates with various organizations that design and implement poverty-reduction strategies.
In 2024, MUBAS partnered with the World Bank in launching the Malawi Economic Monitor (MEM): Turning the Corner – Special Topic: Healthy Watersheds for a Strong Economy.
This report is a periodic publication that tracks Malawi’s progress on macroeconomic and socio-economic outcomes, including poverty reduction. MUBAS contributed academic expertise and policy input to this initiative.
Additionally, the University provides ongoing support through research, technical expertise, and participation in stakeholder consultations aimed at influencing policies for poverty alleviation across sectors.
