Learning Modes
Flexible, Accessible, and Inclusive Learning
MUBAS ODeL Department provides flexible and accessible learning opportunities designed to accommodate the diverse circumstances of learners. Through the integration of technology, physical support, and structured guidance, MUBAS ensures that every learner — regardless of location or connectivity — can pursue quality higher education.

Online Learning (MOODLE Platform)

MUBAS ODeL uses MOODLE, a robust Learning Management System (LMS), to facilitate teaching and learning.

Through MOODLE, students can:

  1. Access study materials, recorded lectures, and reading resources.
  2. Submit assignments and take quizzes.
  3. Participate in discussion forums and interact with tutors.
  4. Track progress and manage coursework independently.

This platform allows students to learn anytime, anywhere, promoting flexibility and self-paced study while maintaining academic rigor.

Offline Digital Learning (MOODL)

Recognising the connectivity challenges faced by many learners, MUBAS developed the MUBAS Offline ODeL Digital Library (MOODL).

This offline system enables students to access learning materials without an internet connection using preloaded content on digital devices or flash drives. The materials mirror those available on MOODLE and are updated regularly to align with the official academic calendar.

This mode supports equitable access to education for learners in remote areas or with limited connectivity.

Limited Face-to-Face Interaction

Although MUBAS ODeL is primarily technology-driven, periodic face-to-face sessions are conducted at the main campus and designated centres.

These sessions are designed for:

  1. Orientation and registration.
  2. Practical and laboratory-based courses.
  3. Tutorial support and academic consultations.
  4. Examinations and final assessments.

This blended approach ensures that learners receive both digital and human interaction to enhance comprehension and engagement.
