Programme Summary

The programme equips students with skills in all aspects of design, development, manufacture, commissioning, decommissioning, operation or maintenance of telecommunication equipment. 

Admission Criteria Requirements

The selection of applicants for this programme is based individual academic achievement. 

Normal Entry

• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with credits in English, Mathematics and Physical Science (Physics and Chemistry) “O” Level, IGCSE, or GCE with a minimum of “C” grade including English, Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry. 

Mature Entry

• Entry in Year 2 is based on City and Guilds Advanced Diploma in Engineering or its equivalent plus MSCE with six credits including English, Mathematics and Physical Science (Physics and Chemistry).
• Entry in Year 3 is based on Diploma in Telecommunication and Electronics Engineering or its equivalent plus MSCE with six credits including English, Mathematics and Physical Science (Physics and Chemistry).
