Programme Summary
The programme produces engineers with the ability to conduct research, manage electronic engineering equipment, computer hardware, software and apply principles and techniques in electronic and computer engineering technologies.
Admission Criteria Requirements
The selection of applicants is based upon consideration of individual academic achievement. In the case of mature entry candidates, work experience is needed.
Normal Entry
- A candidate with a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), “O” Level, IGCSE, or GCE with Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics. can be admitted into the programme at year one.
Mature Entry
Entry in Year 2:
- City and Guilds diploma in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent
- One-year post qualification experience
- MSCE with six credits including Mathematics and Physical Science.
Entry into Year 3:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or any other related qualification from a recognized institution of higher learning
- One-year post qualification experience.
