The initiative marks another milestone in empowering young innovators and entrepreneurs across Malawi and is set to equip young Malawians with skills in business and innovation through a structured hands-on experience to foster self-reliance among aspiring entrepreneurs.
Speaking during the training, MUBAS’ Business Incubation Centre Manager, Chisomo M’baya emphasized on the importance of the programme and urged the beneficiaries to participate actively and take full advantage of the resources, mentorship and networking opportunities that the program offers.
The beneficiaries expressed excitement about their journey ahead, noting that the program presents a unique opportunity to transform their lives.
Wathu Mtandira, one of the beneficiaries who is into agri-processing of condiments such a tomato sauce and mayonnaise said the initiative has a potential of exposing her business to the global market.
“Through this training and possible financial support, I expect to expand my business by creating more market outlets because presently I am unable to produce in bulk due to limited financial resources,’’ she said.
The training is scheduled to run for six months.
