The Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS), School of Science and Technology, is inviting applications for the Master of Science in Environmental Health Programme, which will commence in September 2025. The programme has limited scholarships offered by DAAD for national and international applicants. As part of the In-Country/In-Region Scholarship Programme, DAAD offers scholarships for Master’s studies. The German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) funds the programme. It aims at university staff in the first line, without neglecting the public sector demand for academically trained personnel.

The programme is divided into two parts: coursework and dissertation. The coursework comprises ten core modules: Epidemiology and Biostatistics; Environmental Pollution Control; Food Safety and Hygiene; Health Communication and Behaviour Change; Global Health; Occupational Safety and Health; Health Project Management; Water, Sanitation and Hygiene; and Geographical Information Systems in Environmental Health Practice. To graduate with an MSc, students must undertake a research project culminating in producing a dissertation. The recommended duration of the programme is four semesters (two years) full-time.
